Happy Catholic to Me!!!!!
All started out well on our way to being baptized, but that quickly changed. Nana kept telling the girls that there was going to be another party just for them. Who would have thought???? Sophie heard party and began to sing, "Happy Birthday to Me." Nana corrected her and said, "No Sophie, it's Happy Catholic to Me". Now Sophie walks around singing "Happy Catholic to Me". Another party- all was great.
The girls got dressed up in the Chinese outfits that Mama had bought in China and put their hair up cute piggy tails. They looked beautiful!
When we got to church everyone was there. Nana, Papa, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Cheryl, Jon, Kristen, Jamie, Tricia, and a bunch of other people they didn't know. Nana was fretting that we were going to be late and miss the big event. No worries Nana. We were there in plenty of time. We said hello and found our assigned pew.
All was good, the girls were so well behaved. There were eight families receiving the sacrament. The girls loved looking at all the pther babies. Unfortunately, Sophie was up first at the Baptismal Font. Ut-oh ... did someone forget to mention that there were tubbies involved????????? Cold Water! Cold Water! Sophie was bathed in cold water and she didn't like it one single bit! Everyone near and far got to hear how unhappy our little girl was. Poor Sophie. Avery was next, she cried, but not nearly as much. That was rough!
After everyone was finished we took lots of pictures and then headed home for the big party. There was lots of presents and Mama made a lamb cake. The day ended as good as it started.
We're having some technical difficulties, we'll try to add more pictures later. Stay tuned.
