Beijing

We’re here! Business Class rules! We got slippers, satin pillows, and wool blankets. The seats were huge. We ate shrimp, steak, cheesecake, and lots of fruit. The trip took a little under 13 hours. Although that may sound like a long time, it went really quickly. Mom, sorry to disappoint you, but we could not see the Great Wall from the plane. Maybe on the way to Nanchang we’ll get a view at take off.

Once we arrived in Beijing we were met by our guide Cris. She met us outside the gate from customs. She is about our age and very friendly. She introduced herself and asked us our names. She asked if she should call me, “Mr. Douglas” and I said to “call me Doug “. Cris was incredulous – “Dog? Like a little furry animal!?!” Ha Ha. She could believe we were serious. As we drove from the sirport to our hotel Cris told us about this new airport, the city of Beijing, how it was organized and a lot of other facts. At last we reached Kunlun Hotel. The hotel is really nice – we’re on the 17th floor. Check out the view!

OK, orientation tomorrow and the Forbidden City.
